Bio
Over 25 Years of Experience
With over 25 years of experience in the early childhood education industry, our founder, Clara Cappiello, is passionate about topics related to bilingual development and cultural diversity, and has provided professional consulting services to clients from Latin America and the USA. As the manager of the training and professional development function of a migrant Head Start program that served close to 5,000 children in 10 states, she provided leadership and direction to the agency education services, and led the development and implementation of a dual-language curriculum that authentically reflects migrant farmworker families’ language and culture. She is a seasoned presenter and trainer and has been a speaker at Spanish radio and television shows.
Identity Texts
With the purpose of delivering culturally and linguistically responsive services, BELS Consulting has designed and developed identity texts. These personalized bilingual children's books that focus on supporting families' home language(s) and culture are just one example of how we aim to help children from diverse backgrounds succeed.
Gamification
BELS Consulting uses a unique approach that combines innovative methods with traditional training techniques. We believe that learning should be fun and interactive. That’s why we use gamification to create an engaging, immersive experience that reinforces content and supports content retention.
